My name is Dave Joslin and I am a candidate for the Christian Heritage
Party in the riding of Huron-Bruce. My wife, Kathy, and I have been
married for 29 years. We have four children—two boys and two girls and
we attend the Bethel Free Reformed Church in Mitchell, Ontario. I have
campaigned for the Christian Heritage Party in four previous elections.
I graduated from Georgian College in 1976 and am a Fitter-Welder. I
volunteer on the de-amalgamation committee for Grey Township. I also
volunteer for the Cornerstone Prison Ministry. I enjoy playing community
darts with the neighbours and I have a love of reading that includes
theology and political theory. My goal in life is to consistently
interpret the Bible and apply it to every area of life.
I am running in this election first, because I believe in the CHP’s
principles and platform. Second, I believe that these principles are
needed in our society. And third, because there are people in my riding
who hold to these principles and cannot find acceptance of those
principles in the other parties. Of course I hope to be elected to
represent the CHP platform in Ottawa. I also want to bring these issues
to the forefront of political discourse in this riding and elsewhere.
Some issues I believe need addressing:
- judicial activism--lets put an end to it!
- better voter representation through proportional representation
- C-68...scrap the whole bill!
- ban abortion and embryonic research - adult stem cells are superior
- scrap hate crimes legislation
- I am for: planned debt reduction, lower taxation and less government spending.
